How to book a fancy vehicle number in Telangana

Telangana (TG) routes fancy vehicle registration number reservations through the central Parivahan portal at fancy.parivahan.gov.in — the same Ministry of Road Transport site that handles most Indian states. You'll pick Telangana from the state dropdown, then your specific RTO office, and the portal shows you today's available 4-digit numbers with the Telangana reservation fee on each row.

Before opening the central Parivahan portal, narrow down which 4-digit numbers you actually want. Our Telangana page shows today's available pool RTO by RTO, with three ways to filter:

Step-by-step reservation

Step 1: Open the Parivahan portal

Go to fancy.parivahan.gov.in. No login required to browse — you'll need to sign in only at the reservation step.

Step 2: Pick Telangana from the state dropdown

The state dropdown at the top of the page lists every state on Parivahan. Select Telangana.

Step 3: Pick your Telangana RTO

After selecting Telangana, an RTO dropdown appears. Pick the office that will handle your vehicle's permanent registration — usually the RTO closest to your residential address. Each RTO maintains its own pool, so two different Telangana RTOs may currently have different numbers available.

Step 4: Browse today's available numbers

The portal shows available series and individual 4-digit numbers, each with the Telangana reservation fee. Filter by series, or search for a specific 4-digit number you've already shortlisted on our Telangana page.

Step 5: Click "Reserve" and sign in

Clicking Reserve prompts a Parivahan or Aadhaar e-KYC sign-in. Aadhaar e-KYC is usually faster if your phone is Aadhaar-linked. The selected number is held in your cart while you finish the rest of the flow — the clock starts here.

Step 6: Enter vehicle and applicant details

You'll need engine number and chassis number from your dealer invoice, plus the owner name and address as they appear on Aadhaar. Double-check both numbers before proceeding.

Step 7: Pay the Telangana reservation fee

UPI, cards, and net banking all work. After successful payment, save the transaction receipt — you'll need it at the Telangana RTO when you complete vehicle registration.

Fees in Telangana are set by the state Transport Department and vary by number category. Premium 4-digit numbers — single-digit sequences (0001, 0009), repeaters (9999, 7777), palindromes (1221), and other auspicious patterns — sit at the highest fee tier; common numbers go at the base rate.

After you've reserved

The reservation is valid for a fixed window stated on your receipt. Complete the vehicle's permanent registration at the same Telangana RTO before that date. Bring:

• The reservation receipt (printed or on phone)
• Vehicle invoice and temporary registration certificate
• Address proof and photo ID
• Insurance certificate and PUC certificate
